yes thats right people, i posted TWICE in one day! this is what happens when i don't watch drama i guess haha.
i was reading this thread about the kindest things strangers do to you and i wonder how there are so many good people in the world; absolutely willing to do certain things. there was an example in the thread where there was this old man and this young boy (13/14) and when a tsunami hit, they were backed up against a cliff and the old man lifted up the kid and then died.
i dunno about you, but i found that really kind and selfless of him. there was also a person who was running away from the cops and passed a hobo who took the blame for him and said that he did it because the food in jail as well as the shelter was better.
i like reading stuff like this, it makes me think that the entire world isn't filled with heartless people. it makes me wonder if anyone would do this for me. it makes me wonder if they live a good life doing things like this for other people.
when complete strangers purposely wait for me to come to the door (albeit only like.. 10 seconds) and leave the door open for me before they go in, i feel so happy! it's like someone acknowledges im there, and that they feel obliged to open the door for me.
it's a really.. really.. nice feeling :D if i go into hurstville tomorrow, i want to try it out. i want to see the other persons reaction and everything. i think nowadays, people seem to almost take this as flirting. in some cases sure, it might be, but in other cases it's just because they feel happy knowing that they're being kind to someone.
which makes me lead onto another point, if someone does these random acts of kindness because they enjoy the fact that they're making someone else happy, is that selfish?
anyway.. tell me whats the nicest thing a complete stranger has done for you.
mine is that when i was a kid, i went to the opera house (i think..) and you could go up to one of the panels and slide down it like a slide! i was really young (around 5-6) and got super scared, so one of the ladies (20 or so..) offered for me to sit in her lap and slide down. surprisingly enough i still remember what she looked like. she had short blonde hair in a bob and blue jeans and a black tank top o_o
guh; anyway i'm going back to whatever the hell i was doing. byebye!
