ANYWAYYY. yeah i went with gemma today on a little food tour around chinatown! volcano icecream makes me sick inside. especially the meringue. especially the freaking meringue. and btw my name is NOT navi, i just use the phrase 'hey! listen!' to piss gemma off her wits :D
we had lamb sticks again! not too sure about the people who know about them, but theyre darn freaking good. to me anyway. i dont know why, but i get a lot of aftertaste on them, even after eating a normal dinner with onions and... beef o_o gemma also got that sugarcane drink they sell a lot in bankstown and cabra. she hates it like she hates... people. or me calling her navi
after that we stopped at emperors bakery and MANNNN OH MANN. THERE ARE MINI POLO BUNS THERE. THEYRE SOOO FREAKING CUTE. i wanted one! but i figured it'd take me like.. what? one bite and it'd be gone. and they sold those glutinous rice balls with custard inside! at least.. i think it's custard. its either that or meat, i'm not sure. i just know i freaking love the ones at yumcha. funny thing is i never eat the insides, i only eat the outside xD
gemma bought a pork bun and an egg tart, and i took like.. little bites out of each of them. yeah i'm a cheapass i know.
i've rekindled my love for pork buns. has anyone ever had those buns which are like.. this meat with some kind of black stringy thing and boiled egg? yeah i hate those. but those were the only ones grandma makes so i figure it was probably what i ate a lot as a kid. i love BBQ pork buns that are really warm, soft- but not damp, and in side is all this pork and sauce and guhhh *drools*
went darling harbour- not really we went to the place in frount of that weird reindeer looking statue. and just hung there for a while and talked. went back and gemma got a scoop of thai milk tea icecream from passionflower. MAAANNNGGG that stuff really tastes like what it should taste like! i was thinking they just got milk tea and froze it or something. but damn that stuff was good. 5 bucks is a pretty hefty price to pay for a scoop of icecream though.
went home after that since it was like.. 5.30 and i needed to get back before my mum gets home.
WHEN I GOT HOME THOUGH, GUESS WHO WAS HOME? NO ONE! YAAAAYYY
it was like.. 6.10 too, so i'm pretty lucky.
today i also had blue cheese and brie. sniffing too much of blue cheese could probably knock someone out after a while. i haven't vomited since i was 9 or so, but that rekindled what it smelt like. brie is okay, its kinda salty and bitter, and makes a mess on my hands, but still pretty cool.
today was pretty awesome.. i think..? i felt super happy in the morning for some reason though, definetely weirded out.
tomorrow everyones going on DOE so good luck to everyone! hope you guys don't die or something, and yeah! we'll just stay back in sydney and.. do nothing.
honestly there is never anything to do at school on DOE days. last time, all i did was play card games and sleep. and then on the second day i jigged. which wasnt good either cause all i bought was 3 cups of coffee and some food, and not to mention i had blisters too.
