i've spent like 4-5 hrs today just editing my 4u report (okay more like making a completely new one because my old one was the shits) and seriously who knew analysing your own major work would be such a pain in the arse. like come on i'm the one who wrote dis shit i can say anything i want because you know I'M THE ONE WHO WROTE IT DUHH but then its hard to decide what to say because I still want to write about what I intended with my work-

but then arises the problem that i don't actually know what i intended with my work. i didn't write my major work thinking 'o ye gonna write for this audience' or 'o ye this is great symbolism for the emotional dryness of human beings in modern society'

no. doesn't happen like that.

so now i'm just trying to figure out things that kind of reflect what is in my work with what sounds smart (and looks like i've spend 9458375035 hours of research on)

it kind of makes me realise that our understanding of all the english texts in our english courses are probably made up by someone and wasn't what the writer actually intended (or maybe they did and they just weren't thinking about it) because seriously when people write who the hell even thinks about 'audience' when they write like wat i'm just being really incoherent right now nevermind me.
